Job summary

Koenig Equipment, Inc. in Richmond, IN is seeking a Lawn & Garden/Utility Set-up Technician to support the dealership's Richmond location. The role involves setting up equipment, diagnosing repairs per estimates, coordinating deliveries, and advising customers.

The candidate should have relevant technician experience, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems, and be able to operate IntelliDealer and company vehicles. A clean driving record and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant technician experience in a comparable industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use our computer operating system (IntelliDealer).
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
• Clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of new equipment and coordination of equipment for receipt and delivery.
• Diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate.
• Complete assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule; attaining all quality and efficiency metrics.
• Keep accurate times records by segment on worked performed.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
• Professionally advise customers when required.
• Ensure billing of all parts and returning unused parts in a timely manner.
• Submit work order detail to the Service Manager immediately upon the completion of each segment.
• Help maintain company fixed assets as required.
• Completion of assigned training in accordance with OEM & Koenig Learning Path.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

• Diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate. Notify service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
• Complete assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule; attaining all quality and efficiency metrics.
• Keep accurate times records by segment on worked performed.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
• Professionally advise customers when required.
• Ensure billing of all parts and returning unused parts in a timely manner.
