Job summary

Virginia Green is seeking Lawn Care Technicians (Service Leaders) to join our Mid-Atlantic team. Your office is outdoors—working on assigned routes, delivering lawn care services and building relationships with customers.

You'll use hand and powered equipment, apply fertilizers and treatments, diagnose lawn issues, and upsell additional services while maintaining safety and accurate records. Training is provided and advancement is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record with 1+ years of driving experience.
• Must obtain applicable state Department of Agriculture certification within 30 days of hire.
• Be able to drive long distances or an eight to nine-hour shift in company vehicle (truck/trailer) ranging between 6:30am-5:30pm (or until the job is finished).
• Operate company vehicle in compliance with federal, state, local laws, and company policy.
• Follow proper safety protocols while working with equipment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
• Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide services individually or with a crew on assigned route.
• Apply fertilizer, fungicides, herbicides, and aeration and seeding.
• Diagnose lawn issues and recommend solutions.
• Build relationships with customers and identify service needs.
• Sell additional services to existing and prospective customers.
• Keep properties clean, safe, and looking their best.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment.
• Assist with training new service leaders.

Day in the Life:

$19 - $20 an hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
