Job summary

Spring-Green Lawn Care Corp. is seeking a Lawn Care Technician (Field Service Professional) to be the frontline of the company.

You will ensure proper lawn, tree, and pest applications are applied timely and safely, and educate customers on cultural practices to participate where they can. You will also sell additional services, work as part of a team and independently, and obtain required pesticide licenses during training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• Must be able to lift 50-pound bags of fertilizer and maneuver equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge to perform lawn and tree care applications and diagnose issues while effectively communicating the benefits to customers.
• Provide a high level of service by performing service calls and approved estimates on a priority basis.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Obtain and maintain all required pesticide licenses and follow product labels and SDS.
• Perform professional service applications as trained and outlined in company policy.

Job Summary

The Lawn Care Technician (Field Service Professional) is our company's frontline. You will be the customer's “lawn care guy or gal”. Your purpose is to ensure proper lawn, tree, and pest applications are applied timely and safely. Our customers' expectations are a green weed‑free lawn and you will be the front runner in helping achieve those outcomes. While also educating the customer on what they should be doing culturally to participate where they can.

Educating and communicating is just as important as how the applications are applied. You will become well respected in your knowledge and execution. Understanding the needs of the lawn, tree, and or pest control you will also sell all necessary additional services they may need. You will do this while being a part of a team and also independently.

Responsibilities

Develop the knowledge and skills to make appropriate lawn and tree care application services, diagnose lawn and tree problems, properly perform sales estimates, be proficient in communicating the selling points of all SpringGreen Services and effectively communicate the benefits to the customer.

Provide a high level of service to the customer by performing all service calls and assigned estimates on a priority basis.

Effectively communicate with the customer in a friendly and professional manner.

Obtain and maintain all required pesticide licenses, become familiar with product labels and SDS and accurately mix approved lawn or tree materials.

Perform professional service applications as outlined in your training and in The SpringGreen Way.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and follow GPS directions to find job site locations.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must pass a criminal background check.

Ability to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays as required.

Must enjoy working outdoors and be able to work in temperature ranges from teens to over 90 degrees and in varying weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 50-pound bags of fertilizer, load, unload, push, lift and guide rotary spreader with a total weight of 80-100 pounds and maneuver 400-foot spray hose.

Ability to follow driving directions and familiarity with assigned service area a plus.
