Job summary

Deans Services is seeking a motivated individual to join our lawn care team in Edgewater, MD. You will apply fertilizers and weed control products, learn to identify common weeds, pests, and diseases, and operate spreaders and sprayers with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include talking with customers, keeping notes on services performed, and working outdoors daily. A valid license is required; 21+ and reliable transportation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to learn and trainable.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Enjoys working outdoors in all weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Job description

Apply fertilizers and weed control products (we'll train you on how to do it safely and correctly).

Learn how to identify common lawn weeds, pests, and diseases.

Operate spreaders, sprayers, and other equipment (again, full training provided).

Talk with customers and provide friendly, helpful service.

Keep detailed notes on products used and services performed.

Work outside daily — getting plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and steps.

Wage Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Starting wage is determined based on relevant experience. This is a hourly, non-exempt position.
