Job summary

Dohner Landscaping in Hudson, OH is seeking a Landscape and Fertilization Technician to apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs. This field-based role blends technical lawn care with customer service to keep landscapes healthy and attractive throughout the growing season.

The position offers year-round work, snow removal duties in winter, and opportunities for ongoing training. Compensation is hourly with benefits and overtime depending on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a lawn application or fertilization technician.
• Valid Ohio Applicator's License and a valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs per schedule.
• Perform weed control, shrub care, aeration, and related lawn care services.
• Follow proper application methods and comply with ODA regulations.
• Inspect properties and perform follow-up service visits as needed.
• Assist with lawn evaluations and estimates for clients.
• Educate customers on proper lawn and landscape care and provide friendly service.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in safe, clean condition; adhere to safety policies.
• Assist with snow removal operations during winter season.
