Job summary

Stoel Rives LLP is seeking a Law Student Recruiting Manager to lead the firm’s law student recruiting strategy across ten offices, including summer programs, in Portland or Seattle. You will partner with senior leadership, manage campus outreach, and oversee the summer associate program while guiding recruiting operations and analytics.

The role supervises the Law Student Recruiting Coordinator and reports to the Chief Talent and Recruiting Officer, with a focus on optimizing candidate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR credential a plus.
• Minimum 8–10 years of recruiting experience in a law firm, legal org, or law school career services.
• Demonstrated experience managing law student recruiting programs and summer associate programs.
• Strong knowledge of law student recruiting best practices and hiring timelines.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with partners, hiring committees, and law school admins.
• Experience supervising recruiting staff and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with viRecruit, Flo Recruit, Workday and MS Office; analytics and ATS experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the law student recruiting cycle from campus outreach to onboarding.
• Develop relationships with law schools and career services nationwide and in key local markets.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the summer associate program including orientation and evaluations.
• Attend and represent the recruiting team at summer associate events.
• Facilitate office hiring committees and coordinate evaluations and decisions.
• Collaborate with attorneys, office admins, and HR to ensure a strong candidate experience.
• Supervise the Law Student Recruiting Coordinator and manage workflows.
• Analyze recruiting metrics, budget performance, and pipeline data to drive improvements.
