A law firm seeks an experienced Law & Motion Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This remote position is ideal for attorneys residing in California who are passionate about legal research, briefing, and dispositive motion practice. The role involves collaborating with litigation teams to influence case outcomes through strategic legal analysis and writing.
Duties
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis.
- Draft and revise dispositive and other substantive motions.
- Handle Motions for Summary Judgment and related briefing.
- Develop legal strategy in collaboration with litigation teams.
- Prepare for and participate in oral argument as appropriate.
- Advise attorneys on procedural and substantive legal issues.
- Support matters across general liability and other civil litigation practices.
- Maintain familiarity with developments in California civil procedure and relevant case law.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Significant law and motion and California civil litigation experience.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and oral advocacy abilities.
- Significant California state court experience.
- Demonstrated experience with dispositive motion practice.
