Job summary

The University of Connecticut School of Law seeks a Student Engagement Research & Instruction Librarian 1 or 2 to advance student success through research, reference, and instructional services. This role reports to the Associate Director and embraces innovative approaches to library services for a diverse academic community.

The position includes developing programs, coordinating marketing of services, supervising student workers, and collaborating with student groups and publications, with

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to present to individuals or groups.
• Ability to work collegially with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver programs, services, and events for student success.
• Coordinate marketing of library services and manage content and displays.
• Hire, train, and supervise student staff at the Information Desk.
• Liaise with student groups and student-edited publications.
• Assess student needs and feedback to improve services.
• Provide research and instructional support for day and evening division students.
• Support faculty research through in-depth investigations and bibliographies.
