Job summary

The Supreme Court of Ohio invites applications for the Office of the Law Library Intern (Spring Semester). This on-site role supports metadata entry, digitization projects, and library reorganization under the Research Services Manager.

You will assist librarians, upload content to the digital asset management system, and help create item-level metadata and transcriptions for digital objects. This paid internship runs part-time in Columbus, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Must be a current MLS/MLIS or public history/archives graduate student.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines; work independently or with staff.
• Experience with archives, creating indexes or cataloging objects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Digitization: processing metadata and adding transcriptions for a newly digitized collection.
• Collection Materials: planning and moving collection materials.
• Research: researching assigned topics.
• Reference Work: providing occasional reference work when assigned.
• Development: observe oral arguments and meetings; engage with Senior Leadership Team.
