The University of California, Irvine School of Law invites qualified lecturers to teach courses in our Juris Doctor program (non-clinical). We often seek expertise in areas such as Evidence, Criminal Law, International Law and more for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms.

Lecturer appointments are term appointments under the AFTO. General duties include teaching, holding office hours, grading, advising students, preparing materials, and maintaining a course website.

Qualifikationen

• Basic qualifications include a J.D. degree, J.D. degree or equivalent international degree, or Ph.D. degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. degree (or international equivalent) program at time of application.

Aufgaben

• Teach courses in the Juris Doctor program (non-clinical).
• Hold office hours, assign grades, advise students, prepare course materials (syllabus, handouts, exercises, exams) and maintain a course website.
• Contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through teaching; complete grading obligations in a timely manner.
