Job summary

Downtown law firm in Honolulu seeks a Controller with 5+ years of accounting experience and at least 3 years in a controller role. Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.

The Controller will oversee accounting and financial operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and guide fiscal strategy. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• CPA preferred (or equivalent professional certification).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with 3 years in a controller role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash projections; monitor fiscal health.
• Provide strategic insights to support partners and leadership team.
• This position reports to the President/Executive Committee.
