Job summary

The Washington County Court of Common Pleas in Washington, PA is seeking a Law Clerk to support the Judge with research, drafting opinions and orders, and related correspondence. Responsibilities include attending court proceedings, organizing the case list and briefing schedules, and communicating with the public and attorneys by phone or in person.

A law degree is required, and Pennsylvania bar admission is preferred.

Qualifications

• Admission to the Pennsylvania bar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes sentencing forms as required by the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing.

• Attend conferences with the Judge, attorney and litigants.
• Attend educational sessions for civil, criminal, family court, orphans court updates.
