Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center seeks a Director of Bar Success to lead bar preparation programming for Louisiana and other jurisdictions.

This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Dean and advances bar readiness for students and graduates, including the NextGen Bar Exam. The role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, active or inactive bar membership, and a minimum of two years in practice, teaching, or academic support, with preferred experience in bar

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction (active or inactive).
• Minimum of two years of experience in law practice, law teaching, or academic support programs.

Responsibilities

• Bar Success Program Leadership and Administration – design, implement, manage and assess bar prep programs for Louisiana and other jurisdictions; collaborate with vendors to improve outcomes.
• Teaching and Instruction – develop and teach credit-bearing bar prep courses and related content.
• Student Advising, Coaching, and Academic Support – provide individualized advising and create personalized study plans.
• Assessment, Data Analysis, and Curriculum Collaboration – track bar passage data and integrate bar-tested competencies across the curriculum.
• Other Duties as Assigned – support law school academic success, accreditation, and student services.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from ABA-accredited law school
