Job summary

St. Mary's University seeks a Director of Law School Admissions and Recruitment to plan and execute recruitment efforts for the JD program.

You will collaborate with the Assistant Dean, University Communications, and a broad network of advisors and volunteers to meet enrollment goals. The role involves managing events, open houses, and admitted student programs, while maintaining branding and delivering data-driven insights for future planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; J.D. or advanced degree preferred.
• 2-3 years experience preferred in higher education, professional, or graduate school environment; a combination will be considered.
• Must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
• Must have valid driver's license and transportation to conduct business daily.
• Must be able to travel regionally and nationally for peak times, programs, and events.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, Teams, Zoom or similar online/virtual meeting platforms; familiarity with enterprise systems (Banner or similar).
• Strong verbal and written communication, public relations, and customer service skills; ability to work with diverse university communities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a strategic recruitment plan across prospects, applicants, and admits to meet enrollment goals.
• Reviews and decides on JD applications for admissions.
• Assesses recruitment events and travels to represent St. Mary's at fairs and forums.
• Builds relationships with pre-law advisors and community partners to feed the recruitment pool.
• Organizes recruitment committees and trains volunteers; coordinates communications and marketing efforts.
• Designs and oversees on-campus open houses and admitted student programs; manages data collection surveys.
