Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Laundry Worker at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role involves operating large commercial washers and dryers and collaborating with a team to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.

Wages range from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. The position supports a comprehensive benefits package, weekly pay, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work effectively with others in fast-paced environments, using effective communication skills with guests and team members.
• Basic math skills.
• Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location is beneficial
• No experience or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend the machines including washing and drying articles, such as sheets, draperies, linens, and carpets ensuring the correct volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives are used as needed
• Sort, count and put away articles removed from dryers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet
• Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, locate color imperfections, and to identify items requiring special treatment
• Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines
• Record all loads washed and dried to calculate productivity including loss of linens due to stains, tears and wear
• Communicate with Office Coordinator or Laundry Supervisor regarding Housemen needs for linens for the floors and cottage

Pay

$16.00 - $18.00 / hour

• Exposure to varying temperatures depending on weather and how many machines are in operation at any given time
