The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI), seeks a Laundry Worker 1 for a full-time role with a Monday–Friday 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. schedule to provide laundry and housekeeping services for CMHI and CCUSO.
Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, recording temperatures, stocking supplies, and keeping the laundry area sanitary.

CMHI provides active inpatient treatment to adults in need of acute psychiatric care. The facility offers several services includingindividualized treatment plans. Support for patients with special education needs to continue their education is provided, andindividuals areencouraged to collaborate with staff members in formulating their own plan.
