Job summary

Christ's Home Health Care Center is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant for weekend shifts. You will perform general laundry tasks, sort items, check for stains, load machines, and finish by drying, folding, and packing. You will distribute linens to resident rooms and departments and maintain stock on nursing floors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of healthcare experience. Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term and/or Short-Term Care preferred.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laundry tasks: sorting, checking stains, loading machines, drying, folding and packing.
• Distribute resident clothing and clean linens to rooms/departments and maintain stock on nursing floors.
• Follow established policies and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.

Job description

To maintain environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the Health Care Center. Perform a variety of general laundry tasks such as sorting items, checking for stains, loading items into a machine and finishing by drying, folding and packing. Items may include facility linens and resident's personal items. Work also includes distributing resident's clothing and clean linens to user rooms or departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. Follow standard practices and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.

Required Attributes:

High school diploma or GED required. One 1- Two 2 years experience in the healthcare industry required. Experience in Long Term and/or Short-Term Care preferred. Ability to perform the duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.

Position available:

Every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Additional hours as needed for coverage.
