Job summary

Christ's Home in Rosewood Park, PA seeks a dedicated Laundry Aide to maintain clean linens and resident clothing in a healthcare setting. You will sort items, check for stains, operate laundry machines, and finish by drying, folding and packing according to policy.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in healthcare, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Saturday and Sunday 8:00am–4:00pm, with additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term and/or Short-Term Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort items and check for stains.
• Load items into laundry machines and operate them.
• Finish by drying, folding and packing clean linens and resident clothing.
• Distribute clothing and linens to user rooms or departments.
• Maintain stock levels of linens and resident items on nursing floors.
• Follow established policies and regulatory requirements.

Job description

To maintain environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the Health Care Center. Perform a variety of general laundry tasks such as sorting items, checking for stains, loading items into a machine and finishing by drying, folding and packing. Items may include facility linens and resident's personal items. Work also includes distributing resident's clothing and clean linens to user rooms or departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. Follow standard practices and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.

Required Attributes: High school diploma or GED required. One 1- Two 2 years experience in the healthcare industry required. Experience in Long Term and/or Short-Term Care preferred. Ability to perform the duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.

Position available:Every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Additional hours as needed for coverage
