Examines articles for stains, tears, worn, and other imperfections. Directs items for rewashing and mending.2. Feeds/receives linen and related items into/from the ironing machine. Folds laundry/linen as necessary. Examines articles for stains, tears, wear, and other imperfections. Directs items for rewashing and mending.3. Sorts laundry/linen, including shaking, folding and stacking. Prepares linen for processing by the ironer, dryers and presser. Examines articles for stains, tears, wear, and other imperfections. Directs items for rewashing, and mending.4. Counts and records linen usage. Prepares all linen orders for distribution. Maintains adequate linen supplies for shelf stocking, linen orders, and linen par system. Coordinates and sets linen need priorities. Evaluates individual linen, circulating linen, back up supplies, production flow, and user needs.5. Prepares and washes soiled laundry/linen. Records and calculates all soiled linen weights. Loads and unloads washing machines. Delivers clean linen to the sorting table.6. Delivers/receives clean/soiled linen to/from all user locations. Assists in fulfilling special linen order requests. Maintains and cleans linen carts. Replaces linen bags on hamper stands as needed.7. Loads and unloads linen carts, trucks and tables.8. Maintain a neat and orderly area. Order and stock department supplies and inventories.9. Process all linen items that need special pressing. Affix the hospital logo.10. Maintains department equipment. Report and record equipment malfunctions.11.
