Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Laundry Worker to sort, wash, dry and distribute linens, towels and sheets to our Veterans. This role requires attention to detail and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Hourly pay is $16.99. Responsibilities include gathering soiled linens, sorting, washing with proper chemicals, folding and returning items, and maintaining a clean laundry area. 1+ years of experience and knowledge of laundry chemicals and equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and laundry equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe laundry area.

Responsibilities

• Gather soiled linens and clothing from the units.
• Sort and weigh laundry according to Home’s procedures.
• Wash and dry linens and clothing using proper chemicals.
• Fold/stack linens and fold/hang clothing to return to the Veteran.
• Keep laundry area clean and in working condition.
