Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker to help keep linens and garments clean and available for residents in a long-term care facility. You will operate laundry equipment, sort and distribute laundry, and support a sanitary environment.

The role emphasizes customer service with residents and staff, follows infection control policies, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Starting pay is USD 10.00 per hour, with eligible employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and work around cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area required.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow infection control policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
