Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to maintain clean linens and garments for residents in a long-term care facility. You will support infection control practices and provide friendly service to residents and staff.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to vaccination policies. Residency in the service area is required, with opportunities for hands-on training and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude with effective communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
