Job Description And Duties
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment will be considered for this position(s). Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Under the direction of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II, (M&SSII) of Clothing/Maintenance, the Laundry Supervisor II, CF is responsible for planning, organizing, prioritizing the overall operation of the institution laundry clean side. Supervises and trains an incarcerated crew in washing, drying, folding, and finishing all laundry. Issues pay numbers, evaluates performances, maintains incarcerated individual timecards, and pay rosters, orientates, and trains incarcerated individuals on Codes of Safe Practices, the Right to Know, shop rules, Material and Safety Data Sheets, and gives tailgate safety meetings. Maintains a quality laundry process, helps production, maintains records, and requisitions laundry supplies. Prevents incarcerated escapes and injury to themselves or to property. Maintains security, inspects premises, and searches incarcerated work areas for contraband such as weapons and illegal drugs.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
