Job summary

Scenic Group is seeking a Cabin/Laundry Steward/ess to join our cruise operations in the United States. You will clean 16 guest cabins daily, provide courteous service, restock amenities, and support high standards of guest comfort.

The role requires at least 1 year in housekeeping, experience in 4- or 5-star operations, and a proactive, reliable, and accommodating mindset. You will work in a multicultural team, greet guests on embarkation days, and perform laundry duties per instructions while

Responsibilities

  • Daily clean and service up to 16 guest cabins, including turndown service and embarkation setup
  • Provide a professional and courteous service in accordance with company standards
  • Restock cabin amenities as required
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas as instructed by the supervisor
  • Distribute items such as gift orders to assigned cabins
  • Maintain proper storage of all linen, uniforms, supplies, and equipment
  • Knowledge of the daily programs
  • Check externally laundered linen during linen change days and report deficiencies and discrepancies to the supervisor
  • Carry out daily laundry duties such as washing and ironing as per instructions
  • Handle guest and crew laundry as per company standards
  • Welcome and greet guests on embarkation days
  • Perform additional duties during special events
  • Duly inform the supervisor about any guest complaints
  • Notify the supervisor of breakage and/or damage of any equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness front and back of the house according to sanitary regulations.
  • Ensure correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals
  • Report any potential safety hazards
  • Perform other assigned duties, e.g. luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading
  • Assist with monthly inventories as per the supervisor's instructions
  • Assisting other departments as per the supervisor's instructions
  • Participate in all safety drills and ensure solid knowledge of designated safety role
