Job Description

The Laundry Worker operates laundry equipment related to the finishing of flatwork and tumble-dried goods. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Laundry Worker folds, maintains, and provides cleaned linen to operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and sort soiled linen into designated classifications.
• Operate automatic cart washer and remove linen carts from the exit.
• Operate flatwork ironer, small piece folders, and fold linen following standards; process specialty items.
• Ensure quality control of linens.
• Maintain linens to meet quality expectations; report issues to lead or supervisor.
• Label linen distribution carts properly and cover all linen carts before transport.
• Fold and store linen to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Assist truck driver in loading linen and materials.
• Report supply levels and needs to lead or supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area.

This role may involve exposure to infectious diseases, electrical equipment, burns, blood contact, heat and humidity, mechanical equipment, and sharps. PPE may be required.
