El Paso County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to manage laundry operations in detention facilities and supervise inmate workers, ensuring repairs when feasible. This in-person role is essential to daily operations.
The position requires a high school diploma, experience with laundry, a valid driver's license, and CJIS compliance within six months of employment. Work schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.
Base pay for this position will be $55,913.20 Annually
The Sheriff’s Office provides public safety at all times and therefore every position is deemed essential. All positions are in-person and not eligible for remote work. Every position is also subject to recall based on the needs of the Office to keep the community safe.

Manages the cleaning of laundry in the El Paso County Detention facilities. Supervises inmates assigned to the laundry area and ensures that damaged clothing and bedding are repaired when feasible.
Duties are performed in a highly stressful, closed environment with minimal exposure to windows. Work area is within a secured facility with the potential for exposure to violent inmates, use of foul and disrespectful language, offensive smells, and excessive noise. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Sheriff’s Office employees must complete tuberculosis testing as applicable to the specific position prior to job assignment and periodic testing thereafter.
