Job summary

Ace ImageWear in Houston, TX is seeking a dedicated Laundry Production Worker to support high-volume garment processing in our industrial laundry facility. You will rotate through soils sorting, washing support, finishing, folding, and delivery prep as needed.

The role requires dependable attendance, safety-minded work practices, and the ability to work smoothly with supervisors and teammates. Previous laundry or production experience is preferred but not required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled garments, linens, towels, mats, and other textile products.
• Load, unload, feed, or remove products from industrial laundry and finishing equipment as assigned.
• Hang, fold, stack, bundle, or prepare clean products for delivery.
• Inspect finished products for stains, damage, excessive wear, missing items, or other quality concerns.
• Identify products requiring rewashing, repair, replacement, or additional processing.
• Maintain proper separation and handling of customer merchandise.
• Follow established production procedures and work instructions.
• Meet reasonable production, efficiency, and quality standards established for the assigned work area.
• Safely operate production equipment for which the employee has been trained and authorized.
• Follow all machine guarding, lockout/tagout, PPE, and other applicable safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Immediately report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and quality concerns to a supervisor.
• Assist coworkers and other production departments when necessary to complete daily production.
• Move between production positions or departments when directed based on staffing and operational requirements.
• Follow company policies, attendance requirements, safety rules, and supervisor instructions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

The Industrial Laundry Production Worker performs a variety of duties involved in processing garments, linens, towels, mats, and other textile products in a high-volume industrial laundry facility.

Employees may be assigned to different areas of production based on daily operational needs. This may include soil sorting, washroom support, garment finishing, folding, hanging, inspection, repair preparation, route preparation, or other production functions.

Physical Requirements

The position regularly requires:

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the work shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Handling garments and textile products continuously throughout portions of the workday.

• Working at a consistent production pace.
• Working around industrial machinery and moving equipment.
• Working in areas where temperatures and humidity may be elevated.

Work is performed primarily inside an industrial laundry production facility. Depending upon the assigned work area, employees may be exposed to:

• Heat and humidity.
• Industrial machinery and equipment.
• Wet or damp conditions.
• Soiled garments and textiles.
• Laundry chemicals and cleaning products used in normal industrial laundry operations.
• Repetitive production processes.

Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear assigned personal protective equipment.

Attendance and Dependability

Production employees are expected to report to work on time, be prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time, and remain at their assigned work area throughout the scheduled shift except for authorized breaks and meal periods.
