Job summary

Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a Laundry Associate to operate washing machines, dryers, and folding machines while maintaining quality and efficiency. You’ll pre-sort linens, handle damaged items, and help train teammates at busy workstations to maximise production.

Key duties include loading/unloading for trucks, reporting incidents to supervisors, following Grindstone Laundry standards, and upholding safety and energy policies while aligning with the company mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or ability to pass Basic Skills Assessment.
• 6 months previous commercial laundry or production environment experience preferred.
• Or successful completion of a related company approved development placement program.
• Good hand eye coordination, be self-motivated, a team player and have schedule flexibility.
• Must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Operates washing machines, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with recommended capacity and other manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Pre-sorts linens to locate and remove damaged items; stores clean and folded linens in appropriate areas.
• Assists in training at workstations and ensures maximum production.
• Assists Grindstone Laundry Driver(s) in loading, unloading and weighing linens.
• Notifies Grindstone Laundry Supervisor or Manager of incidents affecting operations or customer service.
• Performs inspection processes in line with Grindstone Laundry standards.
• Ensures compliance with energy conservation and job safety regulations.
• Maintains alignment with company mission, vision and values.
• Displays maturity, discretion, tact, and ability to handle confidential matters.
• Performs other departmental duties to contribute to team success.
