The State of Oklahoma is hiring a Linen and Clothing Specialist at the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center. Responsibilities include washing and maintaining clothing, linens, and draperies, sewing repairs, and preparing items for delivery.

You will operate washers, dryers, and sewing machines, and ensure a clean, efficient work area. Level I–IV pay scales apply, from $27,722 to $32,035 annually, non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• Sewing techniques knowledge.
• Ability to operate a sewing machine and alter clothing.
• Experience with laundry equipment and processes.
• Understanding of handling linens, garments and draperies.

Responsabilités

• Operates washers, dryers, mangles, pressers and irons.
• Sews by hand or machine, mends, alters and repairs clothing and linen items; constructs and hangs draperies.
• Packs and delivers cleaned items with tickets and proper labeling.
• Performs basic maintenance on laundry equipment and keeps work area clean.
• Maintains inventory of sewing materials and linens for assigned area.

Formation

Level I: None required

Level II: 6 months laundry or sewing experience
