Job summary

Rest Haven Health is seeking a dedicated housekeeping and laundry aide to support daily resident care. You will perform laundry, linen, and garment handling, and distribute clean items to residents.

Responsibilities include washing, ironing, folding, and sanitizing rooms and common areas, cleaning floors and surfaces, and following infection-control procedures. You will also assist with waste disposal and maintain a tidy, safe environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily laundry functions as assigned.
• Sort, collect, weigh soiled laundry and place in appropriate containers.
• Fold, stack, label and distribute clean laundry to residents.
• Keep laundry area clean and sanitary.
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping as requested.
• Remove dust, dirt, grease, etc. from equipment and/or floor surfaces as necessary.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline receptacle with plastic liner.
• Conduct isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.
