Society of the Transfiguration is seeking a Laundry/Housekeeping Attendant to clean and maintain the Sisters’ clothing, linen, and laundry room areas at the Transfiguration Spirituality Center (TSC). The role emphasizes high-quality work, attention to detail, and discretion when handling sensitive items and residents.

You will sort, wash, press, and deliver laundry, while also making beds and assisting with light room cleaning as assigned.

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently and courteously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to resolve conflicts professionally.

• Sorts, washes, presses, and folds all laundry items.
• Places laundry in properly labeled areas.
• Delivers laundry to designated areas.
• Backs up Environmental Services Attendant as needed.
• Makes beds and cleans rooms in guest areas as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Laundry/Housekeeping Attendant will perform high-quality cleaning of the Sisters’ clothing items, the Transfiguration Spirituality Center (TSC) linen and bedspreads along with the upkeep and cleaning of the laundry room areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following list of duties is not exhaustive and may be revised by management as needed.

• Sorts, washes, presses, and folds all laundry items.
• Places laundry in the properly labeled areas.
• Delivers laundry to designated areas.
• Serves as a backup for the Environmental Services Attendant.
• Makes beds and cleans rooms in guest rooms as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
