Job summary

The Beverly Hills Rehabilitation Centre in Santa Monica is seeking a part-time janitor/maintenance worker to manage linen supply and laundry operations for residents, ensuring timely delivery of clean items and proper handling of clothing.

The role focuses on following sanitary procedures, maintaining equipment safety, and supporting a low to moderate noise work environment; no supervisory responsibilities and minimal qualifications include a GED or high school diploma and basic math and reading

Qualifications

• Education: GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Language: Ability to read and understand directions.
• Mathematical skills: Basic math.
• Reasoning: Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean linen for residents.
• Keep linen in good repair; remove holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label and sort new clothing; wash, dry and fold linens.
• Deliver clean items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary laundry procedures.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use laundry equipment safely.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.

Janitor-Part Time (Maintenance)

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualification

• Education and/or Experience GED or High School Diploma 1 year of experience preferred
• Language Skills Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures
• Mathematical Skills Basic math skills
• Reasoning Ability Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.
