Job summary

Responsibilities include labeling clothing on admission, laundering linens, operating laundry equipment, and ensuring all areas are disinfected and organized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and resident safety.

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and perform routine cleaning of washers, dryers, lint traps, and dispensers.
• Wash contaminated linens separately in accordance with infection prevention guidelines.
• Inspect garments and linens for cleanliness and condition; press items when necessary.

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. In this essential role, you will support both the housekeeping and laundry departments by ensuring resident rooms, common areas, linens, and personal clothing are clean, organized, and maintained according to infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory and label residents' clothing and personal belongings upon admission.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and perform routine cleaning of washers, dryers, lint traps, and dispensers.
• Wash contaminated linens separately in accordance with infection prevention guidelines.
• Inspect garments and linens for cleanliness and condition; press items when necessary.
• Collect and transport soiled linens throughout the facility.
• Follow established laundry procedures and safety protocols.
• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs as needed.
• Replenish supplies and maintain clean, organized housekeeping and laundry storage areas.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and facility policies.
• Perform other housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and resident safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
