A leading hospitality organization is seeking a part-time laundry attendant to ensure cleanliness and organization of linens. The role includes managing laundry operations, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent service to guests. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and hospitality skills, with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.

Essential Functions
Responsible for receiving dirty laundry in carts and loading washing machines with materials. i.e. keeping things separate and organized. Ex. Whites/colors, sheets/towels, and from which building the laundry originates.
Program washing machines-turn on and select the correct cycle for the desired outcome.
Unload wet towels/sheets/linens from machines into carts. Push carts to the dryers and load into dryers.
Unload dryers and take laundry to folding tables. Fold items neatly and keep sheets, towels and linens organized with similar types, properly prepared for the laundry truck to deliver.
Maintain professional appearance including wearing a clean, pressed uniform and keeping clean hands and good hygiene in order to handle clean, white linens.
Check inventories of chemicals, and communicate with the supervisor when ordering is necessary.
Keep the laundry area clean, dusted and mopped. Cleans lint traps out daily.
Answer calls and inquiries from hotel locations on campus.
Scrub, disinfect and deodorize all laundry carts daily.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor or the Human Resources department.
Immediately report any damaged, non-properly functioning, or unsafe machinery or working condition to the supervisor and/or Director.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
Hospitality experience preferred.
Must have demonstrated good communication skills, client relation skills, and a commitment to providing responsive and conscientious customer service.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple task demands, and work structures.
Must be able to do repetitive work, frequently monotonous in nature.
Ability to manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in the time allotted.
Proven organizational skills and interpersonal skills are required.
Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of “exceeding guest’s expectations”.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
Working conditions
Moderate to heavy physical activity performing strenuous and non-strenuous activities with moderate to loud noise.
Mostly Indoor work with some occasional outdoor work. At times exposed to elements such as; heat, cold, wind, rain.
Eye to hand coordination and dexterity. Works with fingers and hands to grab, handle and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Ability to coordinate work, consistently moves about, able to stand for prolonged periods of time or walk about. Also able to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk to and hear and understand staff requests, and lift or otherwise move objects weighing up to 200 pounds.
Must be able to work with a variety of chemicals, including pro-quaternary and bleach based products.
Must have good vision to monitor the grade of cleaning. Able to identify and distinguish whites and colors, stains, rips or tears in materials.
Must be able to bend into carts to retrieve items.
Must be able to pull laundry that sometimes tangles/wads from carts and machines.
Must be able to work in warm temperatures.
Must be able to handle sheets/towels without allergic reactions to cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to push/pull full laundry carts around the laundry floor (on wheels).
Work Schedule: Monday – Sunday to include: days, nights, weekends, holidays as required.
