Job description

Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and storing all bed linens, towels, pillows, and other items from guest rooms. They assist with inventory control and supply ordering as needed. Maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area, including restrooms, and performing basic preventative maintenance on washers and dryers are also part of their duties. Ultimately, the role aims to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and employee restrooms
• Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and guest supplies
• Assist with stripping linens from guest rooms when needed
• Support other departments as required
• Deliver supplies to staff or guests when appropriate
• Follow hotel security protocols
• Obtain supervisor or manager approval before clocking out

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

Required:

• Flexibility to work in shifts and report as scheduled
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions

Preferred:

• High School Diploma
• Experience as a Room Attendant or Maid
• Knowledge of hotel cleaning standards and products
