Purpose
Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager on duty, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service by offering a clean, safe, and friendly store environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Customer Service and Satisfaction: Assist customers with payment systems, machine selection and operation, retail purchases, and wash/dry/fold orders; handle customer questions/concerns; inform management as needed. Maintain a neat appearance and wear the appropriate uniform.
- Store Safety and Security: Ensure a safe environment inside and outside the store by following security procedures and prioritizing safety.
- Store Cleanliness and Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store; follow cleaning routines and document completion.
- Building and Equipment Maintenance: Report maintenance issues appropriately; escalate unsafe situations to management.
- Retail: Keep retail product displays attractive; understand and educate customers about products; process sales accurately; promote additional purchases.
- Wash/Dry/Fold: Provide quality service by selecting appropriate equipment and completing orders carefully; address customer concerns promptly; inform management of any claims.
- Policies and Procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience
Knowledge of commercial laundry products and payment systems is a plus but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Effective communication and ability to work with diverse individuals.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Build strong customer relationships quickly.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Education
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and lifting.
