Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain clean linen and clothing and assist in janitorial services for The Pioneer Home.

You will sort, load, and operate washers and dryers, ensure safety, and uphold productivity standards while keeping the laundry area organized and compliant with procedures.

Qualifications

• The ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Sort, weigh, and load linen and resident personal clothes into washer and dryer.
• Safely operate various washers and dryers.
• Maintain productivity standards.
• Remove linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkles.
• Fold linen according to standards outlined.
• Place folded linen on marked shelves and transport to floor linen rooms in a timely fashion.
• Check washing machine drains to prevent clogging. Inform engineering if maintenance is needed.
• Maintain a well organized, neat laundry room.
• Damp mop laundry floor, clean washers and dryers, clean lint traps daily.
• Empty all washers and dryers and turn all machines off at completion of shift.
• May be cross-trained in janitorial and laundry duties.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including the associate handbook.
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

The purpose of the Laundry Attendant is to maintain clean linen and clothing,by washing and drying. The Attendant will also assist in providing Janitorial services as needed for the wellnessand wellbeing of those withinThe Pioneer Home. These and other miscellanies tasks will be performed within the position using the highest regard for safety for the attendant and others.

• Maintain productivity standards.

• Place folded linen on marked shelves and transport to floor linen rooms in a timely fashion.

• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
