JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for maintaining the laundry for guests in a highly presentable “Gold Crown” Standard at our Resort. This includes sorting, washing, drying, and packaging all linens.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sorts, washes, dries, and packages all linens.
2. Cleans and maintains all laundry equipment.
3. Cleans the Housekeeping/Laundry areas.
4. Assists the Laundry Supervisor with daily tasks.
5. Assists with cleaning contractors.
6. Performs service requests as needed.
7. Provides backup support to others, handles special projects as requested, and/or performs any legitimate business task within the scope of responsibilities.
8. Ensures that all safety rules are observed by Housekeeping/Laundry staff.
9. Practices and encourages proper safety procedures for equipment and chemical use.
10. Practices and encourages proper safety procedures for physical exertion involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
11. Must know tornado, fire, and disaster procedures and assist in coordinating evacuation efforts if necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• General knowledge of laundry procedures and operations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (including ability to understand English) for interaction with employees and guests, using tact and poise.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

OPTIONAL SKILLS A PLUS

• Possess at least 1+ years of trade experience in a related or applicable field.
• Prior resort, hospitality, and/or timeshare industry experience.
