Job summary

Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Laundry Attendant to manage daily linen flow across the property. You will collect, sort, fold, and deliver laundry items, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency. The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with Daily Pay option. The position is full-time and onsite, with benefits and opportunities for growth within the Westgate Resorts family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Background screen, drug test, and legal work eligibility required in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collect laundry from the entire property for cleaning.
• Sort and separate laundry by category for assembly.
• Operate ironing machine, tower folder, and hand fold to prepare linen.
• Fold and bag clothes, blankets, and linens for delivery to buildings.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and meet daily productivity targets.

Job Description

What You'll Do as a Laundry Attendant:

• Collect laundry from the entire property for cleaning.
• Sort and separates laundry by category for assembly.
• Dump linen from the carts to the belt, and keep up with the pace with the sorters.
• Folds laundry materials by hand and machine such as sheets, pillowcases, wash cloth, towels, blankets and bedspreads.
• Fold all the blankets, duvets and mattress pads by sizes.
• When processing linen thru ironing machine, tower folder and hand fold, remove stained and damaged linen to designated area.
• Catch the linen from conveyor belt and placed in designated metros by item.
• Must pay attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet daily productivity based on resort standards.
• Feed linen in flatwork ironer, towel folder in a productive pace.
• Prepares the linen and supplies for the buildings during check out and mid weeks.
• Clean work area daily.
• Removes clothes from equipment.
• Hangs, bags, folds, and bundles clothes for delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree GED.
• The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
