Job summary

Westgate Resorts is seeking a Laundry Service Technician I to support our state-of-the-art industrial laundry facility in Orlando. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair commercial laundry equipment while following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, can read manuals, document work orders, and work well with teams to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Weekend/holiday shifts and competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial or industrial laundry equipment is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on commercial and industrial laundry equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and chemical dispensing systems.
  • Assist with maintaining tunnel washers, dryers, ironers, towel folders, conveyors, and other equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and parts requests on time.
  • Use basic computer tools to document repairs and communicate with team members and vendors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with technicians, vendors, and other departments to minimize downtime.

As a Laundry Service Technician I , you will support the operation of our commercial laundry facility by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial laundry equipment and supporting building systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined technician looking to grow their career in a state‑of‑the‑art industrial laundry environment.

What You'll Do as a Laundry Service Technician I:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on commercial and industrial laundry equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and chemical dispensing systems.
  • Assist with maintaining tunnel washers, dryers, ironers, towel folders, conveyors, overhead rail systems, air compressors, boilers, steam generators, and other facility support equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, equipment diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and parts requests accurately and on time.
  • Utilize basic computer applications to document repairs and communicate with team members and vendors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians, vendors, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.

What You Will Bring as a Laundry Service Technician I:
  • Previous technical experience working with commercial or industrial laundry equipment is required.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and troubleshooting principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Sense of urgency with a strong commitment to equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier equipment.
  • Ability to work around industrial machinery, in confined spaces, and in hot, humid environments.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
