Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality's Springfield property is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry for hotel guests. The role operates on an AM shift in a full-time capacity at the Springfield Crowne Plaza location.

Responsibilities include sorting, ironing, folding, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas. No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Sort stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain inventory of discarded items.
• Operate ironing and folder machines according to specifications, processing cleaned articles.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack into designated amounts by type and size; place stacks in distribution areas.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters as specified in procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check the working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas during shift.
• Restock work areas for next shift as assigned.
• Turn in lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Follow safety and security procedures and company policies.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
• Provide a safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per handbook.
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to Lift, Push & Pull up to (50) pounds required.
• Frequent bending while loading/unloading washers/dryers, sorting linen and folding.

• Standing is required during the entire shift.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
