Job summary

Southbridge Wellsworth Hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant to process and care for linens, terry, and table linens using hotel-standard machines. You will clean, press, and finish staff and guest garments, along with guest room fabrics, ensuring high-quality results.

You must be flexible for weekends and varied shifts, observe safety rules, and work closely with the housekeeping team to meet daily needs. Knowledge of laundry equipment and fabric finishing, plus basic English (Spanish a plus)

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers effectively.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and chemical handling.
• Knowledge of finishing techniques for fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Process bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating laundry machinery to hotel standards.
• Clean, press and finish staff and guest garments, as well as guest room fabrics and articles.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observe all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
• Cooperate with Managers and Supervisors to complete requests promptly.
• Sort, pretreat, washes, dries, irons, and folds linens.
• Inspect linens for tears and/or stains and reject or reclaim them.
• Fill banquet and restaurant linen requisitions.
• Deliver guest service supplies to guest rooms.
• Provide towel service to recreation areas.

Process all bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating all laundry machinery in accordance with hotel's standards. Clean, press and finish staff and guest garments, as well as designated guest room fabrics and articles.

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations.
• Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observes all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
• Cooperates with Managers and Supervisors to complete any requests, as soon as possible.
• Uses correct cleaning chemicals, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Uses correct personal protection equipment in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Sorts, pretreats, washes, dries, irons, and folds linens.
• Inspects linens for tears and/or stains and rejects or reclaims them.
• Fills banquet and restaurant linen requisitions.
• Delivers guest service supplies to guest rooms.
• Provides towel service to recreation areas.
