Job description

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

We currently have an opening for a Laundry Attendant. Positive individuals who are team players and are looking to join a dynamic environment are encouraged to apply.

Key attributes and responsibilities of the position include:

1. Separates linen from terry and shakes to expose any items left behind from guests for submission to Lost & Found.
2. Loads, programs washers and dryers to achieve cost-effective and proper cleaning/drying of items in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Assists in stripping/picking up linen from rooms and delivering linen & terry to rooms as requested.
4. Soaks linen & terry as needed for stain removal prior to washing as required.
5. Checks linen & terry daily for wear and tear. Repairs, utilizes, or discards worn items as directed.
6. Folds linens and towels as directed, ensuring they are free of wrinkles, frayed edges, stains, and hair.
7. Cleans bedspreads, blankets, and shower curtains.
8. Cleans lint from dryer daily as instructed and checks for lint under the dryer drum, with additional cleaning of equipment as required to prevent fire and safety hazards.
9. Keeps laundry area clean, neat, and organized.
