Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living’s Meadow Ridge community in Redding, CT, is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate commercial laundry equipment and manage Health Center laundry for residents. The role includes washing, drying, ironing, folding and sorting linens and resident clothing while adhering to state and federal regulations.

As part of our team, you will maintain a clean, sanitary work area and report equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial laundry equipment safely.
• Ability to follow State and Federal regulations in healthcare laundry.

Responsibilities

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the Health Center laundry.
• Washes, dries, irons, folds, and sorts resident clothing and linens.
• Ensures laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried per regulations.
• Maintains clean, orderly and sanitary laundry area.
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
• Completes work in priority order set by supervisor.

We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our team! The Laundry Attendant is responsible for safely operating commercial laundry equipment while carrying out the normal activities and functions of the laundry department, including processing hospital laundry.

Hourly Wage Range $17- $18.25 based upon experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the Health Center laundry.
• Washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of resident clothing and linens.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that all laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Also keeps laundry department clean.
• Reports any laundry equipment problems to department supervisor.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
