Benchmark Meadow Ridge in Redding, Connecticut is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean living environment for residents and staff. You will launder towels and linens and keep resident apartments tidy, while supporting the upkeep of common areas across the community.

Experience in cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but training is provided. Biohazardous waste handling knowledge is valued.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans all assigned resident apartments as scheduled by the supervisor including bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, waste disposal, and window washing.
• Cleans all common areas according to standards and practices including elevators, halls, stairs, lobbies, and activity areas.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals safely.

We are looking for housekeepers to join our team! As a Benchmark housekeeper, your main role will be to maintain a community that is safe and clean for residents, associates, and visitors. You will be responsible for laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, and the upkeep of resident apartments.

Hourly Wage Range $17.00 - $18.25

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans all assigned resident apartments as scheduled by the supervisor including:
• Bathrooms: toilet bowl, sinks, and bathtubs, wipes countertops, and mirrors, and sterilizes floors
• Kitchen: wipes counters and under objects, mops kitchen floor
• Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges.
• Empties and rinses (if necessary) wastebaskets.
• Washes inside of windows as needed.
• Cleans all common areas according to standards and practices including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units, and cleans other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.

Requirements

• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but we will train.
• Understands the practices surrounding the proper handling of biohazardous waste.
