Job description

Responsibilities

1. Load articles into washer and ensure correct code is entered into machines.
2. Wash clothes according to StepStone and hotel standards.
3. Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damage.
4. Fold and place items in appropriate storage racks.
5. Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition for washing.
6. Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when found.
7. Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.
8. Pretreat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures.
9. Check and clean all filters on washers and dryers every two hours.
10. Deliver linen to closets as needed.
11. Make rounds to pull dirty linen from housekeeping carts as needed.
12. Assist with monthly linen inventory.

Requirements

1. Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
2. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
3. Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
4. Other duties may be assigned.
