Job summary

Niles Hampton Inn by Hilton is seeking a Laundry Attendant to tend laundering machines and ensure clean towels, linens and other articles are ready for guests. You will sort, wash, dry, fold and store items, maintaining inventory and reporting any maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry or similar roles preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Sort linen and separate soiled items and treat stains
• Load articles into washers and add detergent or cleaning agents
• Move and transfer laundry from washer to dryer and monitor cycles
• Sort dried articles and fold for storage
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens
• Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment and report issues
• Handle contaminated articles per safety standards
• Perform any other duties as assigned

SUMMARY

Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts all linen and separate and treats allstains
• Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaningagent
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measures timecycles
• Sorts dried articles according totype
• Folds and places items in appropriatelocations
• Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHAstandards
• MaintainstheinventoryofcleaningsuppliesandlinensandensurestheGeneralManagerisawareofany inventoryneeds
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenanceneeds
• All other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Preferably 6 months - 1+ year of similar experience
• Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
