Job summary

Polaris Columbus Staybridge Suites by IHG is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant to tend laundering machines and ensure clean linens. The role requires stacking, loading, and operating washers/dryers, with attention to inventory and equipment maintenance.

The position offers a part-time schedule with competitive pay and benefits. Prior laundry experience is preferred; ability to stand for long periods is required.

Responsibilities

• Sort linen and treat stains

• Maintain laundry supplies inventory
• Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance needs
• All other duties as assigned

SUMMARY

Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts all linen and separate and treats all stains
• Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measures time cycles
• Sorts dried articles according to type
• Folds and places items in appropriate locations
• Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards
• Maintains the inventory of cleaning supplies and linens and ensures the General Manager is aware of any inventory needs
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenance needs
• All other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Preferably 6 months – 1+ year of similar experience
• Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
