Job summary

Gale-Hotels in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support housekeeping operations with washing, folding, and sanitizing linens and towels. You will sort items, load machines, and prepare laundry for guests and staff according to established standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of hotel laundry or housekeeping experience, be able to work evenings or weekends, and communicate effectively in English (Spanish preferred).

Laundry Attendants perform multiple tasks ranging from washing and folding laundry items and steam cleaning equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material.
• Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests.
• Washing items following proper sanitization protocols.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Unloading laundry from dryers.
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener.
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable information.
• Creating invoices for laundry orders.
• Perform any other duties requested by Supervisor/ Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Laundry attendant, Housekeeping in a Hotel or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations.
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

EDUCATION

• High School degree, GED or Equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish Preferred (communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners).
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
