Job summary

SMI Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to ensure a steady supply of clean linens for our hotels in Richmond, VA. You will handle all stages of linen processing, from collection to folding, while maintaining a tidy work area and efficient operations.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or with others, a professional appearance, and availability on weekends and holidays. We offer benefits and a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.
• Handle all stages of linen processing: collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing and folding.
• Keep laundry machinery and area clean and well maintained.
• Stock shelves and inform supervisor of shortages.
• Address guest service issues promptly and courteously.
• Perform additional laundry tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• The laundry attendant will maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel


• Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering


• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area


• Keep shelves and supplies well stocked and organized, inform supervisor of shortages in inventory or supplies


• Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner


• Perform additional laundry services, as needed


• Performs any other related duties as assigned
